Construction Roofing Estimator

Job Summary

The Construction Estimator will use their expertise as well as the resources at their disposal to estimate the amount of money, time, materials, and labor required to complete a given construction project.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Review and evaluate cost estimates
  • Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects
  • Prepare estimates and purchase orders in detail for all products
  • Ensure timely completion of estimates
  • Understand scope of work to bid
  • Manage bid pricing from all vendors
  • Prepare cost analysis
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills & Abilities
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Civil Engineering or related field (additional experience may be substituted in lieu of educational requirements)
  • Three (3) plus years’ experience in construction estimating
  • Able to read architectural plans and develop cost estimates
  • Strong understanding of residential construction processes
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Gmail, GSuite, CRM systems, (AccuLynx highly preferred)
  • Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
  • Impeccable problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with Xactimate a plus
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time

Construction Roofing Scoper

Job Summary

The Scoper, under the direction of the Forensics Manager, will go on-site to evaluate and record the damage on a customer’s property, including (but not limited to) the roof, screen enclosure, throughout the interior and attic, and the exterior of the home/building. The incumbent will record and take note of roof components and other materials that will need to be repaired as a result of roof replacement.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Visit job sites to make a determination of the work needed
  • Photograph site visit and upload to company software
  • Complete Roof Assessment Work Sheet for each assignment in a timely manner
  • Establish good rapport with Homeowners/Customers
  • Good time management skills
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills & Abilities
  • High School Dipolma or GED
  • Two (2) plus years’ experience in construction related field (roofing experience a plus)
  • Strong understanding of residential construction processes
  • Familiarity with stucco & stucco bands, roof ventilation, EIFS, and other construction materials is a plus.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Gmail, GSuite, CRM systems, (AccuLynx highly preferred)
  • Experience with GAF e360s a plus
  • Able to take direction, multi-task and meet strict deadlines
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Valid Driver’s License
Physical Requirements
  • Abililty to climb ladders, walk on roofs, go into attics
  • Exposure to the elements (including heat in attics)
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time
